My Journey

Do you know those individuals who know exactly what they want to do from the time they are young? I was not one of those people. It took me a while, I traveled through a variety of careers, and I grew and learned from each, but when I discovered counseling, I knew this was it. This was something I could relate to, and use my own experiences and training to help others.

Approach to Treatment

I approach treatment as a holistic endeavor. Wellness requires that the mind, body and soul are equally cared for. This is why I encourage incorporating healthy habits into ones lifestyle. I also, help you to understand how your thoughts and perceptions affect your mental state. This is more formally known as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and I also use Mindfulness techniques that will help you to manage your emotions. With these tools and hard work, you can have a rich and fulfilling life again.

On a Personal Note

I consider myself to be multi-cultural. I was born in Guyana, South America, and I am lucky to have a rich indian (India) , Caribbean and American culture. I came to the United States when I was 4 years old and was raised in New Jersey. I moved to Texas in my mid-twenties, where I joined the Air Force and pursued my higher education. During my off time, I enjoy traveling, spending time with my family, pets and friends.
